What counts as urgent
- Power lost to part or all of your property, and it isn't a street-wide outage.
- A breaker or safety switch that keeps tripping and won't stay on.
- A burning smell, scorch marks, or a hot, buzzing or discoloured switch or power point.
- Damaged or exposed wiring, or a broken power point or light fitting.
- Water that has got into a switchboard, light fitting or power point.
Before you call
- If it's safe to, switch off the power at the main switch.
- Don't touch anything that's damaged, burnt or wet, and keep children and pets away.
- Note what happened and when it started.
- Have your address ready, and take a photo if you can do it safely.
After hours

What if the power is out across my whole street?
A street-wide outage is usually a network problem, not something inside your property. In most of Perth the network operator is Western Power. If only your property has lost power, call us.
