Electrical compliance assessments and inspection items in Perth
Selling, buying, renting out or renovating a property? Kivalo Electrical carries out electrical compliance assessments and attends to electrical items raised in building inspection reports, with the required compliance paperwork for applicable work.

When people need an assessment
- When buying or selling a property, or after a building inspection report lists electrical items.
- Landlords and property managers checking a rental property.
- After a renovation, or after other people have done electrical work, to make sure it's safe.
- When you're unsure about the condition of older wiring or an old switchboard.
What we look at
We check what can be assessed safely and in plain view, including:
- The switchboard: its condition, labelling and the protection on each circuit, including safety switches.
- Visible wiring and fittings.
- Power points, switches and lights, for damage or signs of overheating.
- Appliance connections.
What happens after the assessment
We explain what we found in plain English. Where it's useful we can provide a written report with photos, so you can see exactly what we saw. If anything needs fixing we can quote to do it, and we can work through a list of items from an inspection report.
A safety note
Don't open a switchboard or work on wiring yourself. If you smell burning, see scorch marks or a hot switch or power point, switch off what you safely can and call us.
What affects the cost
An assessment is a separate job from any repairs it turns up, so we can price them separately. What affects the cost:
- The size of the property and the number of switchboards and circuits.
- Whether you want a written report with photos.
- How much of the installation is accessible to check.
- Any repairs or upgrades the assessment shows are needed.
- A list of inspection-report items to attend to, which we price by item.
