Kinetic Switching
Add or move a light switch without opening up the walls.
A kinetic switch is powered by the movement of pressing it, so it needs no battery and no cable running back to the switchboard. It sends a wireless signal to a receiver that controls the light. The short clip shows one in action, working with no wiring attached to the switch.
No chasing walls. Add a switch in a finished room, renovation or older home without cutting into walls or ceilings.
Put it where you want it. Place a switch exactly where it's handy, such as beside a bed, by a doorway or in a spot that would be hard to wire.
No batteries to replace. The press itself generates the power for the signal, so there's nothing to charge or swap out.
More than one switch per light. Control the same light from several places, without running extra wiring between them.
